Thus begins Hello Neighbor, a First-Person Perspective Stealth Survival Horror game developed by DynamicPixels and published by tinyBuild about sneaking into your neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in the basement. When the man notices the kid spying on him, he promply throws him out, but the boy is now determined to find out who - or what - is in the basement and rescue them. Sneaking up to the window, he sees the man who lives there wrestling with something unseen and locking it up in his basement. Children might view an attacker as a monster or an overly exaggerated figure to match the trauma they experienced.A young boy is playing on the street where two kids have recently gone missing when he hears a horrifying, panicked scream from a nearby house. While some aspects of the game seem outlandish, such as fighting a giant Neighbor or shadow figures, these elements represent trauma, and trauma manifests in different ways to different people. ![]() It covers the beginning of a life-changing event for the main character, one that follows him until adulthood. While the game mechanics leave something to be desired, the story itself is engaging. The Neighbor runs on AI, meaning that he learns from every entry made into his house. This encourages more exploration, as players need to find keys or other objects to advance. Using cabinets to hide in, doors to run through, windows to jump out of, and whatever else, players can give the Neighbor the slip. Even throwing things at him does little to deter him. Without it, players are left scrambling to flee from the Neighbor, which can be a monumental task since the Neighbor is relentless in his pursuit. In terms of gameplay, stealth is still a key factor in advancing through the game. While glitches still occur throughout the game, they're not as pronounced as the previous versions.
